Description

Remember Donna? Well, she's back, and she doesn't look like an automatic photoshop filter anymore! I decided I'll never shade or color very well online until I've practiced without showing anyone for about 80 years, so I'm going to do just inking and uploading as is again. Donna was done in...oh...15 minutes, along with a sort of model sheet. First with pencil, then with pen.

I've also been mulling over her written character, which is very Wednesday Addams. Her interest can be summed up with my doodling of her room, which consists of a bed with various religious, political, and corporate symbols etched across it (Disney's mickey ears, a celtic cross, and a swastika on some of the bedknobs as an example), a sprawling of cute stuffed animals all over the floor (including the odd smiley-faced doll she was holding), and a bookshelf filled with classics, like 'Alice in Wonderland,' 'Reviving Ophelia,' 'The Tao of Pooh,' 'Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot,' ' 'Harry Potter,' and 'Sybil.' While her interests are rather dark, she remains quite an uplifting, quirky character. :D

But she's still crap, as her hair is messed up and I still haven't decided how to draw it right. And it contains my usual horrible proportion and other blatant, hideous mistakes. And she still sounds too much like she's from the Addams mold, so I need to pump some more originality into her musty veins. Plus, I should really start using better paper...

Nonetheless, I like it better than the last because Donna looks a lot freer and alive, and above all, more cartoony. Al doesn't like to create realistic characters for his master plannish comics, but LOVES seeing other's realistic art. :D

This "dynamic" (Heavy on the quotation marks, as I doubt anything I could ever draw could come close to being truly dynamic) pose was inspired by watching a documentary on that one crazy impressionist, who drew the funky ballerinas and died nearly blind. His named started with B, and it now escapes me...

Nice pose yes. I read the description a few days ago, but I already forgot what it said *smacks head*
